Labour Scraps Doctors' Apprenticeships
This is a bad move, more should be invested in training much needed doctors.
I would have expected a Labour government to be in full support of it, I hope the 20 students that have already started getting the funding to complete their training.
A different way to train, not sure Sqad would have approved, but the apprentices study for the same exams and have to reach the same standards to pass as conventional medical students

Not enough genuine info from anyone, I suspect, as no one is going to knock one path or the other. Let's just hope it all works out ok as we need more Brits to go into the profession in order to stop nicking qualified staff from other nations.
I can't begin to understand why it's been scrapped.
This is the government stance for starting the scheme
