Tonight was shepherd pie and loads of sprouts, the shepherds pie was a Costco one retrieved from the freezer and the sprouts were from Sainsbury's and delicious.

Just heating/cooking a Sainsbury's bread and butter pud, had it before and it's almost as good as homemade, not up to much homemade cooking lately so these have come up trumps for us tonight.

probably be in bed within the hour with a full tum 👍

Tonight, stew of onion, potatoes, courgettes, mushrooms, parsnips, cabbage, peppercorns, bay leaves, dried oregano, veg stock, squeeze of tomato puree, tin of black beans.

(Had run out of garlic, and sprouts finished off yesterday, but one eats whatever's available in Atheist Towers).

Sounds good atheist, full of fibre and vitamins 😋

Here it's veal and parmesan meatballs in a creme fraiche sauce, cauliflower mash, raspberries, some dark chocolate...maybe a night cap.

One of our favourites tonight. A selection of cheeses (currently at 7) with fresh breads, grapes, clementines and baby tomatoes as cleansers. Unlike Pasta, there is definitely a nightcap or two - a nice bottle of Douro.

Sprouts and delicious?

Surely an oxymoron

Mutton and dumplings casserole. I'd forgotten how greasy mutton was.

We had homemade soup , including -

Dumplings / yams / sweet potatoes / celery / chicken noodles /mutton

I take it that you are a vegitarian, Atheist.

Are you?

^ vegetarian^

Where do you buy mutton, David?

That meal sounds very middle class, Capt.

Port with that?

@ Tilly 😊😊 There is port about but I think I'll just stick with the red - can't drink like I used to.

What was your EM, Tilly?

Tilly2. A local farm shop. Also very large chicken breasts £2.40.

Curried lynx and rice.

Like Bazile, I had soup with yam, sweet potato, carrots but my meat was stewing steak cut into big lumps. This is known as Saturday Soup in the Caribbean.

Sharon

Yes ,we have the steak when we do red peas soup

We've just had chicken shawarma  (sp), homous, tzatziki, salad and flat bread. Very nice it was too.

I love red peas! I usually do stewed red peas with meat.

Tilly; Yes, I'm vegetarian.

We had steak with large flat mushrooms and homemade chips and onion rings. I had a stilton sauce.
