... countries?

Was it mid 19th Century when they took large chunks of Mexico?

I don't know how they came to control Puerto Rico, Hawaii, areas of Samoa and the Virgin Islands.

( Yeah Los ABer s quieren " Qui Vallejo ? Qui Vallejo etonces !" etc  "No Greengo! " ( No forrin but in Spanith) - more insulting than "forrin". (*)

"Mi Dio, una moderatore ven aqui!"  shhhh

Geo Bush's mum spoke spanith because well  she was Hispanic and the spanish press complained about  his awful accent by comparison ( greeengo) etc ( "un accento marcado gringo "  )

The icy wastes of Greenland, the sweltering deserts of the middle east, and the humid jungles of Central America,  have all attracted the rapacious eye of Trump.

Considering the Palestinians started this present war, allowing the Palestinians any say in this matter would be like Hitler planning the future of Germany after WW2.

Question Author

This thread isn't about Palestine.

If anyone wants to start one on that subject they're likely to get lots of replies.

sandyRoe 13.57.  You and I haven't been watching the same news bulletins.  I've haven't seen the US grabbing any of that.

So pray tell us sandy what this thread is about if it's not Trump wanting to take land from the Palestinians.

he has promised to make Greenland, Canada, and Gaza part of the USA.

to answer the question... probably the spanish-american war under president mckinley. A man whom trump has been talking up lately.

You missed out the Panama Canal, Untitled ...

So,shouldnt this be in History rather than News Untitled?

not really ynnafymmi because the president has repeatedly expressed interest in doing the same.

i will note however that mckinley was assassinated six months into his second term. i didn't know that!

ellipsis - of course silly me. hard to keep track

But sandy himself has said this isnt about Gaza/Palestine,so my posting stands, this posting from sandy should be in History rather than News.

it's not exclusively about palestine, but gaza is one place that trump says he wants

Question Author

And the assassination of McKinley made way for Roosevelt to occupy the White House.
