president trump gave an interview to fox news yesterday in which he insisted once again that canada should become the 51st US state and insisted on calling the country's prime minister "governor".

elsewhere he has asserted that the canadian border is "artificial" and that canada "only works as a state" and not as a country. 

could the US try to annex canada?

one can't help but observe the similarities between trump's manner of talking about Canada and Putin's manner of talking about Ukraine before he invaded.

You would hope so, but only a handful have ever shown any backbone in standing up to or criticising him.

The enablers are worse than him. He's effectively insane and doesn't know any better. They do, but they go along with the madness.

I would imagine there are millions of Canadians that will never buy American products again if there's an alternative, tariffs or not.

they won't because they don't want to. republicans do not have moral principles. they have shown it time and again. they are not just part of the problem, they are the problem.
