I have to say I didn't catch the whole story, but is he going to be rearrested over the Lubbock tragedy? How can the family put together a new case so fast and is it just because he is back in the country? I would appreciate any info on this, ta.

I saw the news this morning, he's not going to be re-arrested, but a private prosecution is going to be taken out against him by a lawyer, with the full backing of Stuart Lubbocks father, it'll be interesting to see how this develops.

The reason he is in general adhorred by the great British public is that he would not answer any questions at the inquest in case he prejudised himself.That along with scarpering from the scene to save his flagging career in such a cowardly fashion would suggest he knew more than he is prepared to say.

I cant believe that no-one has been brought to justice for this heinious act - I believe SL was seduced into going to the house because of the 'celeb' kudos.

I hope for the family justice will be done.

Barrymore is not someone i sympathise with generally, he matters not a damn to me but just to point out.

If there was any clear evidence forensic and other out there that barrymore murdered the man, he would have been arrested and charged, there was none, all barrymore was arrested for i seem to remember was being in possession of a class b drug.

He was never charged with anything as regards to lubbock.

All this rearrested angle is just the tabloids keeping the hate barrymore campaign going, until the big brother nonsense is over and it will be all forgotten by the public and another witchhunt of a celebrity or a public figure will start being whipped up by a hysterical press and public.

Think most are aware - especially the posters here- he did not murder SL.He appears to be withholding information however which might allow this case to reach a fair conclusion for his family.It is not IMO a witch hunt - think how you would feel if it - God forbid-it were a member of your or my family.Suspect we want justice.

Civil cases are being brought more frequently against defendants because the degree of proof is lower than required in a criminal case.

In the Lubbock case, the pathologists were divided as to how the young man's injuries were caused. It was not even established that the injuries were caused by sexual activity and DNA evidence showed no signs of sexual activity in the hours leading up to Mr. Lubbocks death. This fact doesn't fit with the story some of the tabloids wanted, so it's conveniently overlooked, or downplayed.

I'm not a Barrymore fan, but did Art Malik suffer such lurid speculation when a young man died in his swimming pool, or is the fact Barrymore is gay have more to do with the tabloid interest than the truth in this tragic case.

Drusilla, nail on head.. there are many people who will never admit to it but one of the main reasons they loathe barrymore is his gay lifestyle, he was generally and universally acclaimed by the media and the public until he came out of the closet and then everything changed, the media turned on him, the lubbock case just give them an excuse to bash him without being accused of being homophobic.

He's obviously a manic depressive, not surprising considering the hindley like hate campaign he's been subjected to over the past 5 years or so.

I reserve my hatred to genuine evil like brady, huntley, etc, not some sad pathetic celebrity.
