Our Army in Iraq compared to our police at home
Maybe what the troops did was technically wrong but the violence used appeared to be minimal, and it just possibly may stop further trouble.
Anyone agree?

If you feel strongly, and have a reasoned argument to support your views, I am, as always happy to read them (and change my mind, if your case is proven), but I think it only fair to expect the same courtesy in return.
Once you all get fed up with swinging your handbags at each other how about getting back to the original question?
To maintain a certain standard of freedom we need some of our community to do the dirty work and maintain standards. I contend that a minimum use of corporal punishment is acceptable but there are others who think that anything along those lines constitutes criminal assault. Going even further is the view that the answer to everything is to "nuke the ba****ds.
Is there no common ground we can agree on?
Dear Laurence i did not equate between Hitler and the alied forces(these are two camps fighting each other in their respective armies :milary Vs military) but i established a similarity of the attitude of Sadam and that of the British forces in Irak towards civilians as far as that late videotaped incident is concerned ,civilians bare handed i mean with no arms VS miltary forces .you asked me if i would not deffend myself if i was attacked ;well surely i would do but we saw the military man drugging those boys on the ground so ?? was that a position of attack ?? yes ,but but not from the boys; also you spoke of a withdrawal of the british and americans well i think they HAVE to stay there at least for awhile untill they restore a certain order it's the least they can do ; and finally yes you are right before the occupation of Irak there was a lot of bloodshed but how much did this change!
P.S don't misunderstand me i am not a pro-sadam just exposing facts.
