Geez! The most powerful man in the world at the time, President Richard Nixon couldn't keep a second rate burglary of a small office by three men secret... How in the world are you going to keep..... there I go again, relying on logic... Have a nice weekend!
Hi searchme, well I suppose intelligence depends on your criteria to start with, OK so answer this point - In the history of modern architecture only three buildings are on record as having collapsed completely to the ground from ''fire damage''.
1. World trade centre building 1 Date : 9-11
2. World trade centre building 2 Date : 9-11
3. World trade centre building 7 Date : 9-11
World trade centre building 7 was a long office block type building which was not hit by any aircraft, it had a few small fires on a couple of floors and yet the whole building fell straight down with all floors staying level until it hit the ground, come on - how can a long building burning at different rates on different levels all fall down at the same speed, don't you even consider that technically one point should have failed first and that end of the building would sink and the pull some of the other parts with it. Have a look here for a video of it.
HI Clanad, look at the original pictures of the damage at the pentagon before the roof fell down, OK there is a smallish hole where maybe the fuselage hit and totally disintegrated but the engines of a 757 weigh six tons each and are fairly solid objects, there is no damage anywhere on the building facade that would relate to the two engines hitting the structure.
Anyway, a good weekend to you as well, I hope your weather is better than ours, we are just getting over a close miss by a tropical cyclone.

Although different engine manufacturers are available, a common engine used is Pratt and Whitney PW2037s... If memory serves, each engine weighs around 5,000 pounds, not 6 tons. The engine is really quite flimsy in construction, being basically a hollow tube. The biggest part of the engine is the high by-pass ratio turbofan on the front, but this is nothing more than a large multibladed fan and has little structural substance to it. A duck or other large bird passing through one deos quite a bit of damage. You may ne misled by the thrust rating for the engine which is also expressed in pounds. Having said that, many pieces identified as being the engines from this specific aircraft were found at and in the site...
At any rate, it's snowing heavily here, but spring is just around the corner... 3 crocus' yesterday...
