Sadly, and increasingly, it's all too easy to adopt the 'they are all the same' approach, which certainly has a strong argument in its favour, but apathy is certainly not the answer.
If the electorate had remained apathetic, we would still have a rampant right-wing Conservative government in power, with the evil witch at its head. We were only saved by a combination of civil unrest, and tretcherous self-interest from her lackeys, but it does prove that if things get bad enough, the electorate can, and will make a stand. That's democracy, and I for one am grateful for it.
i dont vote never have never will
am not intrested in politics
i,m poor i,ll always be poor and thats how this country wants people like me to stay. voting for some toff who's never had to walk around with holes in his shoes aint gona make mine,my kids,my friends or familys life better so i aint gona waste my time
Well ronnie's pathetic "I'm Poor and I can't get rich" rant sums it up nicely. Too many people seem to think that the world owes them a living. News: the world has the opportunity if you can stop whinning an drag yourself up.
Before you start I am from a poor family both my parents where absolute wasters, I grew up on a rough council estate, but I put myself through Uni, I worked I studied, I've got a reasonable life now, I'm not Rich by any means but comfortable.
If you never beleive you can change things then you never will. Look at the country in 1978 locked in a socialist nightmare, even the Tories could not see a way of saving the country from socialism all they thought they could do was slow it's progress, it seemed inevitable that we would become a crushed outpost of the USSR. Then came a group of people who refused to believe that, lead by the mighty Mrs T, she taught us self reliance, she taught us that you can't have money without substance, she led us into a shinning reward system where anyone could improve themselves, no longer inhibited by the protectionist the loony left and the sheer size of the Union paralysed amorphorism. She used harsh medicine yes but she dragged what was a wreck of nation into respectibility.
Forgive them Maggie they will never understand what you did for them.
i am interested in politics and have been asked to join the local lib dem party, i can honestly say i refrained from joining due to non belief in the party, unfortunatly, there is only 2 in this country worth a sincere vote!
however, it would be pointless for me to do anything because i will have my house burned down with my beliefs, not racist ones, because i am not racist!!
but i think dole dossers should clean the streets and so on, but the great british people no longer want a working class society with upstanding morals. we are to happy to be paid for something we dont deserve.
i used to have a lad working for me who lived with his partner and 2 kids.he could stay at home each week with his idiot of a girlfriend and with his rent claim around 3-500 per week.
this country's gone bl**dy mad?
