Council Houses to migrants

So one of our own judges has ruled we have to give council houses to migrants. Why do we constantly shoot ourselves in the foot? The rest of the EU must be pi55ing themselves. It's on the front of the Express so it must be true ok!

Migrants are presently housed in private accomodation and B&Bs at huge cost to the tax payer. It is cheaper for the government to pass on the bill to local councils. Wait for next years council tax rises when this handover takes place. Brown has a big headache with money and he wants to pass it on to us.

My son has to rent a room as he cannot afford a house on his own (expensive area etc!). What are his chances as a taxpayer, (son & grandson of taxpayers all their lives) of going to the council and asking for a house?

NONE as he is a white christian Englishman!

And its news to me that Northerners comnig to London automatically get a council house. Is that how we have to do it then move and get housed.

My daughter has had to leave the country to be able to afford to live - We too live in an area of high house prices and low wages. So I'll be funding migrants whilst my own daughter has to leave. Wonderful - Thank you Mr Brown.

Just to follow on from boobesque, i'm in roughly the same boat, we have to fight, and believe me, when I say fight, its no holds barred, to get anything for our daughter, but we see these people coming into the country, not having paid anything into it, and generally getting everything, it really pishes you off.

They don't just get council houses as such, where I live the council is spendind a fortune on buying up private houses to house immigrants.

When you consider that generally people from asia and africa have much bigger families than we do, and at day one they are entitled to free housing, free healthcare, and free schooling, without having contributed one penny to the system.

No wonder the moron Blair is telling us that we should work until we are 70 because we don't have enough in the kitty to pay pensions to British people who have paid their contributions for 50 years.

noxlumos the irony is one of our own has to leave the country she was born in because she cannot afford to live here while immigrants are given all the assistance they need to live here and live here comfortably at that . This is not a racist view just telling like it is .

i live in a council house and the house next door is used for "migrants" there has been 6 different familys living there over 3 years all of which have been a nightmare they are loud and rude,they bring extended family and friends to stay there at one time there was 8 adults and 24 kids in there my neighbours on the other side of them who have brought there home are selling i have no chose but to stay as the council will not let me move to another house in my area. I have complained to the council,the police and my MP but have got nowhere.They have there whole house kitted out for free from washing machine to knives and forks they get there gardening done for free.Yet an OAP up the road needed help in her garden after an operation and was basiclly told to get losted by the council.What i want is some peace and quiet for one afternoon as i am going crazy.What a truely brilliant country we have, i dont think so.

My son has been on housing list for 14 years, no chance of getting enough points to qualify for flat or house , yet just rounfd the corner from us , council tower block residents are being given � 100 each to move out and relocate for migrant families to move in, what a country
