I see the bloke who shot the Policewoman couldn't be sent back to Somalia because it is a dangerous country to live in. May I suggest that the UK would be a less dangerous country without him and **** on his Human Rights.

Couldn't agree more. Imagine how the family of the policewoman feel, it's awful enough that she was shot, but when you think it's our ridiculous laws that allowed the man to be where he was at the time just beggars belief.
Not only was he armed but he deliberately took part in an armed raid. Not the sort of behaviour for a normal citizen of any country. So who was he in danger from in Somalia - a rival Somalian 'mafia' gang. This is PC gone mad. Bring back Enoch Powell(I wish we could).

It was not because of concern for HIS personal safety.

At the time there were NO commercial flights to Somalia. A private or military plane would have to have commissioned. The expense was not the consideration.

Britain did not have authority to fly over or land in Somalia and may have been shot down. At least 5 innocent people would have been in grave danger.

No neighbouring country would allow Britain to bring a convicted criminal from Somalia into their country so he could not have been repatriated that way.

3000 people have been deported from the UK to Somalia in recent years - when it has been possible to fly into the country.

I do feel for the family of the policewoman however, and perhaps in these instances convicted criminals should remain in prison until they can be deported.

Yeah, I agree with Ethel that the criminals should be kept in prison untill they can be deported.

Yes totally agree, he should have been kept inside at all costs.

Can you imagine how that family must feel on hearing this news. I can't even begin to imagine their anger/upset/rage/injustice/sense of betrayal from their own Goverment.

I bet there will be more stories like this to follow (sadly)

WP

what was he in prison for before the killing?

Jamma is a persistent offender, has served several prison sentences and was considered for deportation after serving half of a three year sentence for robbery.

Just send him back to his country and if he get killed, one less to worry about!!
He is not "the bloke who shot the policewoman". He is a man who has been named by the police as being one of those who is wanted for questioning as a possible suspect in the murder investigation.

Wow - has he been caught and convicted since yesterday?

Or do you know something that the courts, the CPS and the whole judicial system are missing?

I just knew sp1814 would pop up from somewhere ! Do you intend defending this piece of scum in court?
I agree Dolly, how can anyone justify or defend this person, whether he was involved in the shooting of the policewoman or not, he is not wanted or needed in this country, he has not contributed for the good in any way. Human Rights? Shouldn't we all be entitled to these, our safety is surely a basic human right.

It's MY opinion that he shot the Policewoman. If I'm not allowed an opinion where are your freedoms? On what are my opinions based ? MYOB, matey.

It's your opinion???

What then, in your opinion, are next Saturday's winning lottery numbers.

Dolly - read this slowly:

Police are looking for him in connection with the shooting.

If he's arrested and charged, then he will be tried.

If he's found guilty, he will then be sentenced.

Now...have you been to the police to give a witness statement? Because from the sounds of it, you were there at the jewellers when the crime was committed.

Dolly/Horselady

I've just re-read your posts...you're pulling my leg aren't you?

Duh...sometimes I take things a bit too literally.

brionon and dolly

I think we have rattled sp1814 a bit don't you??!!

Sad.

Horselady - s'right...you got me on that one. I actually believed you for a while.

Irony can be tricky thing!!

nice lottery analogy sp1814.

Depending on the case, we may never know the fact. At the end of the day it is down to the judgement of the jury, which may be based upon opinions.

Well, well ,well ,you made me laugh with your supposition sp 1814.!
