Is it me or are the US just big bullies?

When I got home yesterday I caught the last of the US talking to the Un about all the evidence they had and it seemed they had nothing worthwhile. i.e. a telecon about a modification to a car - Alloys perhaps?? And a picture of a building - maybe Sadam was building a shed? Nothing that screamed out lets get em! Did I miss some piece of great evidence?? Or are the US just big bullies that want Oil and no one else to have rockets?

I believe the U.S. have chemical weapons, biological weapons of mass destruction, even nuclear bombs! I also believe they Are the great 'I am' and even supercede God. Genesis 11. Revelations. As we hear G. Bush is a devout xtian. And He calls non Christians evil; Not just. Islamics, He hates Neopagans as well (Wiccans are disallowed from joining His army. True.), and communists, (and Jews?) (Any gays in the U.S. army?)any bells ringing?.

Ned I didnt want to do a off the cuff response I wanted to think about it. Even if Iraq did have weapons of mass destruction so do the US goverment. I just see it as the US gov going hes got soemthing we want (OIL) and hes got one too (WEAPONS) thats not fair!! seems the US goverement get jealous easily and only they can have it. Just think you need more of a reason to blow things up than someone having the same thing as yours and a picture of a shed! but disarm him yeah - go to war?? no - must be an easier why to get his weapons of him. Surely if there was a war he use them?? making this whole thing of disarming him pointless as he would use his weapons up?? so let sadam disarm himslef by spilling blood or do it peacefully - not steaming in guns blazing!

OK, the evidence is still not 'the smoking gun' (IMO this will appear if and when hostilities start), but you have to ask yourself WHO do you believe - Bush, Blair of Saddam??

Well we all know what happens to bullies. Eventually all the little people they'e pi$$ed off in the playground get together and turn on them. How many wars can we fight at once when everyone is our enemy and how many terrorist attacks will follow in the US and UK when we use our superior weapons (which only we are allowed to have) and bomb them to bits. Let's not forget it was the French who sold a nuclear reactor to Iraq and that's why we are now told they are only a few years away from nuclear capability. There was no outcry at the time when the cash was rolling westwards and now we need to sort the problem of our own making out by peaceful means and not by sacrificing lives on all sides and making the middle eastern countries hate us even more.

BTW, on the evidence question, what would you expect the top banana in the armed forces to say when asked about the reality of the threat to the west? Is it at all possible that he who has seen his armed forces budget cut year after year has spotted a great opportunity to get more money and some great new toys (or weapons of mass destruction as they are called when someone else owns them?)
