So the sickos who who were out away for this have been back in court. Her (French) sentance has remained at five years and his (Webster) has been upped from six years to eight. Do they seriously thing that this is any better than the original sentances?
What do you all think about these updated sentances and what should they have got? Your views please.

Young children and babies should be protected and I believe a twenty year sentence would not have been overly harsh for such cruel and morally reprehensible actions.
I am not going to side with the hang 'em and mutilate 'em brigade, but I do believe sentences for crimes of violence, rape and the abuse of children are areas that should be thoroughly reviewed by our society as a whole.
I believe we are not best served by judges who appear so distant from the life experience of ordinary members of the public.
Webster was given a life sentence, with a minimum of 6 years befroe being eligible for parole. This has been upped to 8 years minimum. Given the utter horror of the case I'm not sure that the parole option will actually be utilised that early, especially given his history of abusing children. He's a constant danger. Of course I would be with Pippa in having the option removed at all. Life meaning life.
I'm not fully aware of the degree of involvement of French, and feel less able to comment, although I know she was present and taking photos. With limited knowledge 15-20 years would seem apporopriate.
We definitely need some sort of comprehensive plan here to get society changed. I'm thinking some sort of definitive list of punishments for crimes
Rape - torture then death
murder - torture then death
thieving - hand chopped off
drugs - life imprisonment in squalid cell/death
adultery - stoning (to death naturally)
political subversiveness - mysteriously disappear for ever
Don't know why we didn't think of founding a culture on hate, revenge, horror and brutalising people before. It'll be awesome.
