Why are the Scotts so racist to the English

What with punching kids and invalids for wearing an England shirt and Murray supporting "anyone but England" what is this obsession with hating the English? Huge amounts of resources are pumped into Scotland from England, they have devolved government, their very own trough, they can vote on English matters we can't vote on Scottish matters, most of our government is bl00dy jock anyway and still they hate us. I back the Scots anytime they are not playing England but in return they'd back the bl00dy martians rather than England. What have we done to be so loathed? Are they still beliveing all that Braveheart sh1t? Gibson was a bl00dy Aussie anyway. Rant over!

I am of scottish/english parents and have found there are a few idiots from both sides of the border who perpetuate this borderline racism. I have found the English seem to have stronger feelings against the scots rather than the other way around though.
As i was born in Scotland i also tend to support Scotland if they are playing england or other home nations but i equally support all the home nations against other countries. English is our language. British is our nationality.

I think what really winds the Sweaties up is the fact that we don't feel the same hatred towards them as they do us. I play football in NZ for a team that is 50 % kiwi 25% English and 25% Scottish. We all get on fine and there is the usual banter but a couple of the Scottish lads when they get a few drinks inside them start ranting about the F...ing English this and F...ing English that. I find it highly amusing.

My neighbour's Scottish and he hates me. Keeps accusing me of stealing his oil. Just cos I broke into his garage one night and nicked a couple of tins of Castrol. Still, what can you do eh?

As it is barely a week since 500 of England`s finest were deprived of their liberty by a no doubt over zealous German police force, it must surely be a case for the Human Rights court, that they are not permitted to threaten passersby throw bottles, and chairs, and breach the peace in general. Lets not mention how many are not even allowed to travel to the World Cup due to their previous indiscretions. To say that the Scots hate the English is much of an exagetation, but to say that there is much dislike for the English throughout Europe , would be much of a truth. The Scots in general get a warm welcome from other nationalities, once they have made it known that they are not indeed English. My friends have just returned from Magaluff , first week of the world cup, the place was overrun with English yobs looking for trouble and fighting among themselves, and all glasses in bars were replaced by plastic when England had a match. Scotland has it`s share of low life and to assault a child for for wearing the red rag is despicable, but England is a foreign country in World Cup terms and no more due my support than any other.

And for the record, I cheered like mad when England went out on penalties :-)
