independent article on kath and kim
6 Answers
I want to know if any other Australian read the article/review by Cathy pryor in the saturday paper. i just wanna know if they were offended by the blanket statements she made about aus. i was soo upset as it gave australia a bad image saying how it was exactly like kath and kim with lots of kims and thats the reason she left and how she can see why australians move to england and live in decrepit housing rather than new builds in aus. i live in england to support my sisters ballet career not because i wanted to get away from aus !!

If I was younger I'd like to live in Australia - there's plenty of rooooommmm and lets face it, it's filling up here PDQ.
There are Kaths & Kims everywhere ! they're sometimes called Sharon & Tracey here (joke) ....I wouldn't be offended aussi-brummi. .I hope you enjoy your stay in England and that it isn't JUST a 'means to an end'

Met quite a few Aussies and found them to be good company.
Please don't think any nation acts like they do on a soap.
Where in Britain is anywhere like Albert Square in Eastenders? I don't think they've got one washing machine between them! No one seems to do a proper job, and they walk around saying things like 'We need to talk' all the time. So don't worry about Kath and Kim, I'm sure no one believes it to be typical of the land Down Under.
My claim to fame is, that I actualy worked with someone who worked on the production team of 'Bananas in Pyjamas'. Beat that!
