Just seen on the news about the 2 little girls now going for a 30 hour operation to separate them, cant begin to imagine how the parents feel,i know theres been others, what is the succes rate for this to be successful and a happy ending all round??Has anyone got a link to this story, thanx!
I cant begin to imagine what the parents are going through. Its not going to be easy on those poor little girls either having been attached for so long.
I hope all goes well.
What i cant understand is how they will give them one leg each when there is only one pelvis.
hi its me again, just read on Nicks post that you left a post for me last night. I wont ask for it on there as post will no doubt be pulled as per usual.
what was the message?
It is difficult to generalise, because ecah case of conjoined twins is different. But most cases die before birth. Of those who are brn alive, most die soon after. Of those who undergo an attempted separation, most suffer the deaths of both, many suffer the death of one and the survival of one, and only a few result in the successful separation and survival of both. There are many cases where no separation is even remotely possibel and is never attempted (e.g. the Schappell twins).
Thanks Blue,
