I have just recieved an e-mail from Oxfam and amongst the things it promotes are help for Lebonese Farmers and yet I find no mention of help for Israeli Farmers. Is this a political decision by Oxfam, and do they usually show such bias. I really do not have an axe to grind about this issue - I do not know enough about it - but it does seem biased

Attacks against local populations are a well established tactic of the Israeli Army.

Most people will have seen the Israels bulldozing civilian houses (on the pretext that gueriillas had been using it). What is less well known, is that they usually decimate these people's orchards, vineyards and crops.

The Israeli farmers live behind that huge sercurity fence, and their land is not attcked.
Israel is comparatively well-off; Lebanon is poorer and recently badly damaged by war. Helping the poor before the rich seems a humane thing to do.

What about the subsides of Iran and Syria though
I don't think I mentioned Jewish people, did I? Or race of any sort? I was talking about wealth.
I go along with jno's definition, but how about the wealthy Arab nations donating, they may be doing so, but we don't hear anything about it, unless its Iran giving to the people via Hezbollah.
Other Arab nations DO donate to Lebanon. They donate guns, rockets and other weapons, and possibly fighters.
If they had not supplied and encouraged Hezbollah the devastation that has been caused in Lebanon and Israel would not have occurred. If Iran continues its nuclear programme they will probably be donating them as well. (Not the power stations, but the bits on the end of rockets that go bang)
"isn't that a racial steriotype of Jewish people?"

What a strange comment admarlow. So if I said "Britain is one of the richest nations", that would racially stereotyping the British people, would it?
