A day of anger? What on earth...

This is amazing yet I shouldn't be at all surprised. Islamic cleric Al-Qaradawi has called for Friday to be set aside as a "day of anger" regarding the Pope's recent speech.

But isn't anger, like any other emotion, spontaneous? How on earth does one set aside a diary date to be angry? I hope that anyone caught indulging in violence over the issue in Britain is arrested and charged on the grounds that it's pre-meditated.

and deported.
This shows how many people have not taken the trouble to read and understand the Pope's words. It also shows that many people have reason to keep the crowds stirred up. (I am neither a Moslem nor a Christian).
The problem, is the clerics, they're the ones constantly stirring things up, not the ordinary people, they are just proving to be gullible.
It's Friday, I must be angry. Doesn't quite make sense does it ?

I give up, I realy do. What a joke.
why Friday? why not a Monday? It'd be better on a monday, back at work from the weekend, whole week at work to get angry about. Fridays are 'happy' days, especially if you get to knock off work early and 'get out on it'
Don't think there is such a word in the muslim language as happy, happiness gets in the way of religion.
as someone said in the paper today, Muslims must be a bit surprised to be lectured on their wickedness by a former member of the Hitler Youth
can they make it saturday, as I have to work on friday...
Friday's fine with me, but the anger would stop at about 8pm, when all the taxis are needed. Now there's a generalisation for all the treehugginglentilbashingblairiteblacklesbiansingleparentoneleggedfamily lovers to have a go at me about.

I've set aside Thursday to be slightly upset, I'm planning to be mildly amused on Sunday, and I'm hoping to book next Tuesday for feeling somewhat quizzical. I shall try to fit in a day to be spontaneous, but that will take some planning.
which day have you set aside for being discombobulated?
Oh, that doesn't need a special day. It's an ongoing state of affairs.
what time will i start if its 12.01am in the morning I better warn Miss Admarlow! what a load of rubbish, what odds do you think William Hill would give me on the liklyhood of there being a protest in london (don't they have jobs to go to!!)
What? Do a job and prop up the ecconomy ! ?
It smacks of 1984's "Two Minute Hate" to me :oD

Jno - Every young Aryan in Nazi Germany had to join the Hitler Youth or the League of German Maidens. It was compulsory, as was membership of the Nazi party for adults. I imagine a great deal of Germans opposed Hitler but understandably did not want to die or see their families be carted off. It was probably easier to be inside the tent than outside.

Mr Robbo - do you really believe that an official day of anger will mark the end of Islamist aggression? There may come a time when an effigy-burning hatemob storm through your town to display their rage at Christmas celebrations.

You think it can't happen? Consult the Historians...
no...not really....

its just a dream i guess
Every day is a day of anger for me.
