Let's suppose that there was a General Election next week and one of the major parties decided to base it's manifesto on the following:-

"ALL non-essential immigration will cease until such time as this Country can catch up with already overloaded public services". ( Hospitals, doctors, prisons, police, etc )

Would you vote for it? No debate!

scuzzball, you're right about the reason for going to war against the nazis.....everything else is not. Some immigrants are entrepreneurial, some have valued skills, some contibute in many ways....and some have none of the above. How much tax is paid on minimum wage?...tax credits more like!..
