A lot of our sovereignty has already been signed away by our politicians. I suspect that we will lose the rest of it by default because most of the British public are so apathetic nobody will get off their backsides and campaign.
Interesting link. I shall not be signing up, but I am curious about a couple of things.
1.Just who are the organisers? Always interesting to know who is behind such campaigns, and I couldnt see any details about the prime movers and shakers of the campaign.
2.As an observation, it would be useful and interesting to have a runnning total of the votes to date, and how long they plan to leave the registration process up for.

Delboy - you've fallen for the classic EU propaganda. Maybe on this little cartoon they should mention the other things the EU has done for us:
Increase the average British household's grocery bill by 25 per week by artificially high food prices due to the CAP.
Dumping cheap produce on the third world, especially Africa, thereby undercutting local producers.
Almost completely destroying the British fishing fleet by Edward Heath giving away our fishing grounds to European countries who illegally land undersized fish thereby threatening the fish stocks.
Being so corrupt that the EU auditors have not signed off its accounts for eleven years.
Opening our borders to allcomers. The British government estimated that only 13.000 immigrants would come to the UK from the new EU countries who joined in 2004. In the 12 months from June 2004, 230,000 immigrants poured into Britain from these countries. That figure has more than doubled to date.
Giving nearly 1.5 million per HOUR to the EU and getting less than half back with provisos how we spend it and having to match it for .
I could go on.
So you see it's not all sweetness and light in the EU. The sooner we leave the better. The only national democratic political party that advocates withdrawal from the European Union is the United Kingdom Independence Party.

Further to the above this is a very topical reason why we should immediately withdraw from the EU.
EU forces closure of British company
12-10-2006
The European Commission has forced a British company to close without producing any evidence to support their decision.
Bowlands Dairy in Lancashire is to close down tomorrow (13.10.06), as the European Commission has banned all of its products across the EU - despite a European judge telling them to lift the ban. The European Court of First Instance ruled last month that there was no risk at all to safety or to public health.
The Commission undertook a random inspection of the firm and subsequently accused them of breaking European food standards rules, even though the British Food Standards Agency found no evidence to support the accusation.
North West Euro MP John Whittaker said: "It is outrageous that this company has been forced to close down because of an illegal decision by the EU. Why should a company face bankruptcy, despite no evidence being produced and the FSA and a court ruling supporting the company?
"The European Commission is threatening the entire British dairy industry with their contemptible legislation. They clearly have no regard for British businesses. It is a classic example of why we should not be governed from Brussels."
