Think about it. Recycling bin chips, the yobs, charging fees, the NHS crisis, etc. What do you think of Labour?

Of couse they have, I believe it was their game plan from the start, when you look at what they've done.
Not in any particular order,
1) Its now illegal to state your nationality as English on legal forms.
2), One of the first things they did, was to sell off half our Gold reserves, and at a knockdown price.
3) Do away with border controls, allowing any Tom, Dick or Harry in, regardless of if they were legal or not.
4), The human rights act, it could have been a good thing, but the way they implemented it, gave rise to the present pc brigade, the consequences we now see all aroud us.
5), Devolution, which gave us the West Lothian question.

Yep...I got those from the Labour Party website, but even saying that, it makes pretty impressive reading.
Once the Conservatives have a coherent policy on...erm...anything then perhaps we'll be in a position to judge them.
David Cameron wears lovely suits though. And I don't care whether you could screen 'How The West Was Won' on his forehead...I think he's a jolly nice chap.

Yes, but because of their school reforms, over 35% of primaryt, and 10% of secondary pupils dont know where England is on the world map! And the USA! How can that be called good?
I'll admit that they ahve done some good things, but several bad things out wiegh them.
One word: Iraq.
My cousin will be going there, and if he dies, I will hold Tony Bliar personally responsible, since they were supposed to of redrawn most or all of our trap earleir this year!

That list from the labour web site is a load of bo55ocks.
Number 44 says about class sizes for 5, 6, 7 year olds.
But read this article from the Guardian (late 2005).
http://education.guardian.co.uk/primaryeducati on/story/0,,1581151,00.html
Over 22000 children in primary schools in classes of 31 or over.
The third annual increase in the number.
If Labour are going to crow about something on their web site at least make sure it is true.
Now to debunk the other 49.
(I am not saying tories are better, just that labour have NOTHING to crow about the way they have ruined this country in the time they have been in power).

And how many Poles did they say would come here, about 20,000.
And how many DID come here, about 400,000.
And some Poles are claiming child benefit for children they left behind in Poland.
How stupid, British people going to work, and paying high taxes, to pay child benefit for children living in Poland.
If it wasn't so sad it would be funny.

It really saddens me to see a member of the female sex
( whether she is the pm's wife or any other female ) being referred to using such a derogatory term .
Is there any need for it ?
Assuming the poster is a male - how would you like your wife/partner/girlfriend/daughter , being referred to using such a term ?
Are you female ( or male ) posters offended ?

2007, and after a record 28 years in power, the Tories continue to lower taxes by cutting public services - perpetuating the I'm-alright-Jack society and further increasing the gap between rich and poor.
Since quitting the EU back in 1998, an increasingly isolated economy, bedevilled with high inflation and boom-and-bust cycles struggles to maintain the balance of payments.
Even the tertiary sector (ie. the service industries - there is no manufacturing industry to speak of anymore) is struggling now, as high unemployment and a standard 55 hour working week means that people have either no money or no time to support this sector of the economy. Even the middle classes rarely venture out of their homes in gated-road, private developments.
A few rich still make weekend homes of security-fenced country residences in the Home Counties - though most now live close to their work in the Square Kilometre - that part of Paris that is home to the World's banking and financial institutions that left London in droves and now make Paris the primary financial district for the entire Global Economy.
The first warm days of summer, as always, are heralded by the outbreak of violent class riots - which last right up until the traditional attempt to storm parliament in November. Forget Hoodies and bangers this is balaclavas and explosives.
After coming under pressure himself at an emergency shareholders' meeting, the CEO of Police PLC, (privatised in 2001), threatened the government with withdrawal of service unless it agreed to a new contract and increased payments. (This would not mean an increase for the Police PLC Operatives themselves, since like employees in any sector, all unions, industry federations, worker representation and collective bargaining are illegal since the 2004 Act of DisUnion celebrated 20 years since the defeat of the miners - (though most kids don't have a clue what a miner is).

Emigration is banned, though many still risk crossing the Channel at night in an attempt to get to the United States of Europe - (no doubt tempted by the chance to earn hard currency Euros or simply to have the chance to enjoy family life as a consequence of the Working Time Directive that limits working hours in the US of E to only 40 hours a week).
The problem with immigrants from the UK has got so bad, that the states of France and Spain have passed their own laws (as they are allowed to) severely limiting UK immigrants without rigorous screening.
Since bins are emptied only once a month, the streets are overflowing with rubbish yet a proposal by the main opposition party of micro-chipping dustbins and charging households according to the waste they produced was dismissed by the Tory faithful as reeking of Big Brother. Yet when it became Law to have children micro-chipped at birth (at which point they also become liable for the re-introduced Poll Tax*) it was passed without a single objection.
(* - Although liable from birth, Poll Tax arrears only become re-payable upon reaching the age of 16 or when the individual earns 240k per year, whichever is sooner. Note that due to massive inflation, 240k is about the average wage of a paperboy).

..Still, most children are out working at 14, as lack of funding in education means that there are only two pencils and a dog-eared copy of Benjamin the Blue Pirate to go round a class of 50. This further fuels the poor education > poor prospects > poverty > crime cycle. Meanwhile, life expectancy is falling and child mortality on the increase. This is not helped by the fact that NHS services are now means-tested, with only those who have savings of more than 3m (about a years salary for the average person) and who have not seen a doctor within the last 18 months being allowed treatment. (There are, however, 5 lucky winners each week who win free NHS treatment in a Lottery Draw broadcast every weekend on DailyMail 1 (the State-controlled Public-Private-Finance-Initiative funded TV channel) tickets cost one kidney each, or two for a cornea.)
Bring on the Conservatives, hopefully they don't turn into the New, New Labour (if they haven't already - see the tree logo). This country needs a leadership with some balls with the backbone to stand up to people, and not try to make everybody happy. They have got to be better than these Robin Hood Islingtonites.
What short memories people have. During 1979 to 1990, the various Thatcher administrations presided over an appalling carve-up of industry, engendered repulsive monetarist attitudes that reverberate to this day, sewed the seeds that ensured the notion of 'community' in Britain died, set off a science brain-drain we have not recovered from, triggered a run of privatisations that ensured companies focused on maximising profits for shareholders rather than providing service for customers, and laid the ground for the yob culture that is blamed on the current government by short-sighted people with no ability to see the big picture.
Those years, shot through with that peculiar brand of inward-looking Thatcherite one-of-us-ness and suspicion of anything cultural, have bred an incuriousness and self-serving insularity that is resulting in a brain-stunting uninterest in the world beyond one's personal boundaries. Sure, some children can't point to Britain on a map, and that's bad. But a frightening number of adults, who went to school 20 or more years ago, would be unable to identify many other countries beyond the obvious ones, or name their leaders or tell you what their currencies or religions are. Is that the fault of Labour education reforms?
Listen, I'm no fan of Labour and no apologist for them. I detest the fact that we got involved in Iraq. I hate various other things they've done. But some of our current woes were ingrained in the system by the Tories in the 1980s and it's a gross distortion to simply blame it all on Blair. As far as voting goes, seeing as I can only vote for my own constituency MP, I will continue to vote LibDem as the sitting MP is doing a good job, as he has done since being voted in at the 97 election when the then incumbent and utterly useless Tory was booted out.
