James Whale for mayor of London?

I see James Whale is preparing to stand as a candidate for Lord Mayor of London. Although I don't live there, he'd get my vote! What would he do?, scrapping the congestion charge is his priority, so I believe, and what else could he have up his sleeve?

Well I'd vote for him, because if he won, it would makemesmile. He's more in tune with your average Jo than any other politician I can think of, yet radical either inspite of, or, more accurate, because of this ! It would be a right hoot, vote him in I say !

Yes thanks for that link marlow - it confirms nicely what a load of fuss about not very much that story was. However, it doesn't do anything to suggest he's a jew-hater, if that's why you posted it. I do like the pull-out quote from one of the responses - 'recreational outrage' - just about sums it up.

Also, your attempt to put some heat under this damp squib suggestion he's a jew-hater is made all the more lame by you regularly flaunting your own bigotry and prejudices, e.g. homophobia, in other threads.

I believe the congestion charge is one the best things to happen to London in many a year, anyone who doesn't agree never had to endure the one mile an hour (on a good day) fiasco of days gone by.

Since he called the reporter a nazi before he knew he was a Jew, it clearly wasn't an attack based on the man's religion. He didn't retract the statement when he was informed the man was a Jew presumably because he thought a journalist could understand the art of analogy.
