People believe that because the other person they're responding to can't be seen by them that their words can't inflict hurt.

As we all know via here and from the article they clearly can.

Whilst i have no personal axe to grind against other users (I aint naming names) I do find that some of their comments are going too far and should be tackled by whoever monitors the sites contents.

I also have to admit to feeling ashamed when squabbles break out on 'ere. I regard AB as my home from home and I know that it's contents are viewed not just by it's members but by anyone world wide who has access to search engines- is this how we really want to be portrayed?

The threads I've enjoyed the most are where the person on the other end and I have completely opposing views.

Off the top of my head, over the past year, I've had fairly furious debates with Ward~Minter, admarlow, anotheoldgit and I think Emma66 (I may have that one wrong).

No - you shouldn't EVER give out personal details, and I think this is why this board works...because it's completely inpersonal. I don't believe that anyone could make personal remarks about me because you only know the 'virtual me'.

I mean, we don't even know each others names, and in some cases sexes.

Therefore, let the debate continue.

is it because what he says he is and what he does. some people even find him funny. they think he actually eats the things he says he does. some mothers do have them you know....

ummm you are not doing your self any favours by saying you are one of wards babes. but then most violent killers in most prisons have women who are willing to correspond and marry them. so that does not make either the killer or the one outside any good.

Lol matt. I am not one of Wardy's babes. I could not care less what Ward Minter has to eat, whether he was a soldier, has a swimming pool or drives a Bentley. He offers a little bit of cyber amusement to the people who like light hearted questions. He also offers some very harsh words to the others that seem to enjoy and prevoke arguments.

ummm....you said you like WM. She (it is possible you know) does not have harsh words, she makes statemenst like the muslims should all be killed, she is a bigot and we are only telling her to spout her bigotry to herself in the mirror.
