How come so much top quality footage of Russian spy

How come we see so much top quality footage of the Russian spy doing everyday things in Russia and even here in the UK. It does not look like camcorder stuff you will see in home videos, its proper TV cameras. He was shown on Sky in his home in UK getting fit at home. Who filmed this stuff and why. he was not even famous or high ranking in the KGB.

Hmmm, i think people are getting bored with the whole Iraq thing now and basically there isnt much news around at the moment.
