what can we do about bloody b%^&**& firework maniacs

Its hot and all of the windows are open .Its been hard to get the kids to bed as it is what with the older kids screeching round the street.But now its a bit darker and they have gone in.So what happens next? Some B�$%^&* sets off those thunder bombs -which sound like exocet missiles in the still air. If only I had a way of dealing with them .Any ideas.

If only I knew. My dogs were petrified for hours last night because of all the fireworks. What was so special about August 9th? SAVE FIREWORKS FOR NOVEMBER 5th!!

I live in the north of England, and heard fireworks last night and the previous two nights as well.There is some legislation dawdling its way through Parliament, which will make it illegal to light fireworks at certain times etc.Having said that,there are many laws (litter,noise pollution,graffiti and many more) that are not Policed and nobody is taken to task for their actions.No point in making laws that are not enforced.

I think the people who set off fireworks without any consideration for others are the same people who don't get their over-sensitive car/house alarms sorted and are quite happy for them to go off at 3 in the morning for hours on end.....and let their dogs out at 5 in the morning so they bark constantly to get back in..... and throw parties until 6 in the morning. I've got nothing against parties but at least I have the decency to let people (withing earshot) know we're are going to be noisy for a few hours!! WOW, what a rant that was, I must go and cool down!!

Could I suggest,coggles, that letting off fireworks will help relieve your stress.

Sorry, but I have been wholed up in our computer room for days trying to placate a very hot and bothered baby! What I need is a fast and furious game of pool. Somehow, I don't think I would beat my highest break if I had a sedate game of snooker.
