there are rules about a Pm going to his mates house for a holiday for free. There should be no conflict of interest. The mate should not look for backing from the PM for a campaign to raise copyright limits in music (like Mr. Cliff Richard). The PM has to disclose the freebies in a register. There are many reasons why he cant go free to a mates house.......

I saw the humour in the suggestion though thinking about cash with honours and all that. I think Bliar is going to get into the Guinness Book of Records for his free loading holidays and another record for how many free holidays taken in any one year. Batten down the hatches because when his more publicised holidays are known and reported in the media something bad happens in the UK

Madge is a foreigner, isn't she? Or is she British by marriage? If not she'd get one of those honorary gongs Geldof and Bono have. But Lord BG was born in Britain; don't know what he's a citizen of now. (And it was Robin, the early reports got it wrong.)

Because Bazile it's not appropriate for the PM to ponce free holidays EVERY year from his rich mates, especially when they have vested interests in his future policies ( e.g. the copyrights time limits mentioned earlier for Cliff and Gibbo). Another of his cronies who have offered him holidays are Burlusconi, who any politician with any sense, would steer well clear of due to the smell of corruption that hangs over him. But Tony and Cherie just can't resist freeloading can they? Its the only thing they can do well.
