has anyone noticed, every time the goverment is getting bad headlines in most
of the newspapers, ( ie lord levey questioned
about perverting the course of justice,)
the next day there is a big police raid, foiling
some terrorist plot or other. thus taking
over the paper headlines, conviently taking the spotlight off the goverment.
or am i just being sinical.

1) The Government is always getting bad press
2) I cant be bothered to go on.....stop reading left wing American rubbish like Mr Moore.

admarlow,
dont read micheal moore, just pointing out
a fact, i am sure the goverment would not dream of manipulating the media would they,?
i may be cinical, but better to be cinical than
naive.
Your just as synicial as me.
I thought exactly the same thing, after saying to my boyfriend on Tuesday night "Tough Night for the Labour Spin Doctors" we awoke to a big police raid and only a wisper of the Labour party problems.
It is not a fact, if it is whats your primary source? and established pattern?
Miss I - see point 1
I did not read it anywhere, it was meerly an observation, a cynical "I bet tomorrow morning when we wake up there is a big story deflecting the focus" and there was.... I am not stating in concrete this was done deliberatly, I am just airing an observation, It was very handy.

However, Spin Doctors are employed to put a spin on things and they are very good at their jobs, and it would be nieve to say things like this don't happen... cast your mind back to the publicly documented "burying bad news " comment on September 11th.
Burying bad news is a bit different from wrongfull arrest though and what is being implied is a bit more than spin.
Have they proved it is wrongfull arrest?
no but if they were arrested only to bury a bad stary that would be. I am sure it is NOT wrongfull arrest.
Question Author
admarlow,
do you deny that there have been several of
these raids at the same time as the goverment
or blair were being hamered in the press.
could you explain to me, the reason for the army turning up at heathrow airport with tanks for gods sake, just as blair was making
the case for invading iraq, as anyone with half a brain knows was based on a pack of lies.
why did they never explain the
justification for tanks at an airport.
you trust the goverment if you like,
this labour goverment is more sleazey
and devious than the tores ever were.
I am a Tory but I don't buy all these paranoid conspiricy theories as much as I believe that the white van outside my house is MI6. xxx
I don't for a moment beliveve that on Tuesday Tony decided with his political friends to call his mates in a Birmingham police station and decided they needed to arrest some people quick smart and generate a story... maybe some muslim terrorists for added press attention.

Like I said, I know I am a bit cynical, I studied Criminology and it taught me to question everything. It was just an observation with a sprinkle of good timing.
Question Author
just because your paranoid does not mean that
THEY ARE NOT OUT TO GET YOU. HA HA
YES, i've noticed, - and NO, you're not being cinical.
Yes, agreed, call it coincident or whatever, I don't trust Blair. And a lot of others thought the same too. The governments are just playing mind games with us, trying to scare us to obey their policies and new laws. This used to be a nice country to live in but not any more.
