For those of you who helped me with the places quiz a month or so ago, we have got the answers. Here are the ones we got wrong.
3) Falls between March and April usually. (My answer: Lent) Easter
22) Current, round poor actor. (Boreham) Altrincham [though apart from the 'ham', I don't know why!]
28) Another home for a caber thrower(not that one). (Polstead) Hever [ Don't know why the brackets on the end]
29) Sound of girls voice. (Helensburgh) Maidstone
35) Royal fruit. (Kingsbury) Lyme Regis
37) Did this regardless. (Blyth) Preston
50) With change could be found in South Africa. (Switha) Dunbar
And finally, with 43 correct answers we have won! (Three other people got 42)
It's always easy to be wise after the event but ... Altrincham is often pronounced Alt Ring Ham. Alt=Alternating current .. ring = around ... Ham=amateur, therefore bad, actor.
