Since we are on the subject of petitions, I am sympathetic to the plight of the English and the dirge they have to sing in the name of patriotism. Thus, I wholeheartedly endorse this petition Furthermore, see if you can spot the difference between pride and apathy.
Hahahaha Brachipod, obviously not being English has totally failed to see the deep-seated humour and irony that allows us English to A) start a petition of this nature and B) get near on 10,000 people to sign! You see Brachio, we don't take ourselves seriously - now what depressing, dour faced nation do YOU swear allegiance too. *still laughing!*
Errrr.... the whole reason for posting the link was that I found it funny, Booldawg. Why do you think that I fail to see the humour??
My post (if I have to point it out) was tongue-in-cheek.
booldawg,
I knew it was a petition, but as long as I bought Spandau Ballet albums for a few of my teenage years, dont try and make it into an 'English petition! I have as much right to sign that petition as anyone else!P.S ....and sent them homewards to think again...:-)
