Blair employability
Tony Blair will step down as PM in June/July of this year. It is unlikely he will contest his seat in the next general election. In the past senior government figures have used their expertise to command 6 figure salaries. He is still a young man with many years of employment to look forward to. He has increased his mortgage outgoings with a mews purchase. What position do you think he could take up?

I can hear the anti blairites frantically bashing away on their keyboards with ' suitable ' suggestions - here comes the torrent , any minute now
To answer your question - given he has a legal background - i suppose he will do something in that area .

he will no doubt get a six figure position as a consultant for B.P. or something similiar with a large pharmacutical co. pumping questionable anti-cancer drugs into the middle east now that he has had a hand in creating profitable conditions for both. along with non-existing rules and regulations that apply elsewhere, him and his corporate cronies will reap their personal fortunes as the taxpayer as usual foots the bill.
I think Tony Blair is already sorted for his future employment. No surprises who his new employers are.

He won't starve.
He will have very very lucrative lecture tours of US Universities - plus not to mention all the executive directorships of various companies that will gain the (rather dubious) kudos of having T Blair on their letterheads.
Plus, of course, all the while we have the ludicrous yuman rights act Mrs Blair will be coining it in, at our expense, defending various people who feel their rights have been abused for some spurious reason.

excellent stewygriffen, exactly what i was eluding to but didn't want to get penciled in as heaven forbid a 'conspiricy theorist'. bush, cheney, major and i believe mrs.thatcher all have been or are members of said group, amongst many other notables. must be nice for a company to have the use of several countries military complex's at it's disposal, along with citizen's taxes bankrolling it all.
Obviously he has spent his time as PM securing a lucrative billion pound (dollar) job. Else why else would he have done what he has done. He has had no interest in this country, only in himself and all the lucrative milllions he has likely been offered to follow the paths he has, regardless of the consequences to UK or the countries he has invaded. Job will be within the oil or RE-construction industry, but he'll do it slyly. He'll probably be consultant to a subsidiary of one of the companys so it doesn't look so blatant.
