Pre-Crime checks on children

The government's latest crime-cutting idea is to monitor children from birth to identify future offenders. It could involve assessing children at key educational stages, and logging details of parents' drug habits, criminal records, etc, on a database. Do you think children should be labelled from birth as future criminals?

I'm am sure the Police are already doing this. They know which adults are repeat offenders and the probability that their children will also learn their parents errant ways. It seems a bit stupid honing resources on the kids and not at the repeat offending parents.

Graps a few headlines for 5 minutes for the Government, then nothing eventually happens.

No. It's hardly their latest idea, by the way, since it was part of the 2002 Children Act.

No. It sounds like another case of the government sticking its nose into peoples lives just because they can, to make sure we're doing more of the things they think we should be doing, and less of the things they don't think we should be doing.

I know it isn't a new idea, but it seems they're thinking of getting off the ground now. Poor kids won't have a hope if they're branded from the beginning.

Oi! My kids arent common or garden crooks. I've sent them to a finishing school in Blackmoor where they will learn how to be International jewel thieves and the global trade of exotic and expensive animal parts.

I'm already on the sex offenders register and have a tag around my ankle, but i've cleaned up my ways now. I did the crime and now i've done the time. My missus has got a bun in the oven and i don't wont my own child to be labelled a potential nonce before it's even born just because of my past criminal indulgences...

Why wait for children to be born. These wayward parents should be sterilised or castrated when identified. The reverse situation of Hitler's (or Mengales) super race using eugenics.

Put all babies straight into prision - then if after 25yrs they behave themselves, with nay a scream or bad word, let 'em out.
