Just wondered if we would have the next ridiculous amount of hysteria the next time a child goes missing. What good is sending e mail spam going to do? Or giving out leaflets at Belfast Airport? Or footballers wearing yellow wristbands?

some people on here would report everything and anything , its quite sad really ,

remind me of some of the neighbours in my cul de sac , twitching curtains and then complain in their neighbourhood watch schemes , it kinda makes me laugh it keeps some people happy to complain about everything in this world

Fran, obviously i want to see the child returned safe and well but exactly what good is sending chain e mails going to do? The same as creating shrines to her and giving out leaflets at airports. Is that going to bring her back? Eeerrr no. What is going to bring her back is police investigations and eye witness who were THERE.

According to the link provided by cascarelli, there are18 children that have turned up missing in the UK in the last year, ranging in age from 11 months to 17 years. So what is so different about this case to warrant all this publicity? I'm not being insensitive. I think this a valid question.

I agree, there are lots of nosy people around, but if the odd one or two can help solve a crime, that must be a good thing!

Haven't watched the new today, but hoping for a positive result & that Maddie is back with her family again soon - if only....
