why US doesn't want to reveal the evidence they found about Usama Bin Ladin so as to convince others?

Jack Straw was breaking the rules (ministers don't usually speak about intelligence matters) when he made it known that British spies have found new evidence linking Osama bin Laden to the US attacks. He refused to give any details of the evidence against bin Laden. A spokesman for the prime minister he'd one this because 'people want to know who we believe was behind the attacks'. Others, however, believe that Jack Straw may have gone public as a deliberate ploy to prepare the British people for miltary action in the near future.

When the US prosecuted some terrorists for the US embassy bombings in Africa they revealed that they knew what bin Laden was up to by listening to his mobile phone. The next day his mobile phone was no longer being used, so finding out what he is doing is now much harder. If they can spy on him somehow (and that is the proof they have) then they will not want to reveal how until they have him (and maybe not even then, as other terrorists will take note and avoid getting caught the same way).
