new 7 wonders of the world
Since 2000 there has been a campaign to find the new 7 Wonders of the World. See here -
http://www.new7wonders.com/index.php?id=7&L=0
for further information. The announcement of the winners will be made on Saturday 7th July and there are at the time of writing only 15 hours left to vote for your choices.
The fact that I only knew about this yesterday evening suggests that this campaign has suffered from an extreme lack of publicity either by apathy from the British media for the past 7 years or by the organisers themselves.
I have encouraged everyone I know to cast their vote, as this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime oppurtunity so log onto the site above and play your part in a bit of history.

Wembley Stadium is down on the British list I see, but I thought the rules were that they had to be completed by 2000.
I also notice that Buck House is down, surely The Tower of London, or any one of the ancient castles and Cathedrals dotted around the UK, they are much older and more impressive that Buckingham Palace. Tower Bridge should have also gained a place.

tut, no Stonehenge. No Wembley. Nothing at all from Bognor Regis.
