We're supposed to be going to Upton Saint Leonards in Gloucestershire on Saturday for a long weekend. Does anyone know what the flooding is like in that area? We'll contact the hotel later in the week, but no point contacting them now because anything could happen before the weekend. We've been looking forward to this weekend for ages and now we might not be able to go.

Many areas are still flooded, many areas do not have drinking water, many areas do not have electricity.
Many local evenbts are being cancelled.
The flood waters are not "clean" and are river water mixed with sewage, oil and dirt from factories and so on.
Do you really want to go for a break in that ?
One couple who went to the area LAST weekend for a Blues festival are still trapped there.
The weather report for the next few days shows rain

That part of Glos. wasn't particularly affected by the floods as in buildings getting flooded but there is no mains water for miles around, including the whole of Gloucester and Cheltenham. The only estimate from the water company is that it could take up to 2 weeks before it is back on.
I would try and re-book somewhere else if I was you.
