Why do we skirt around issues that might offend other religions and yet ignore issues that might offend Christians?

Is is not interesting that SP1814 who is known to be black, when making witty comments, that show some of the posters views to be ridiculous gets accused of being aggressive. This appears to be an additional charge leveled. For those of us who are known to be white, this hasn't happened. Its not like some white people are not vociferous in their condemnation of the bigotry of this post/others and the Daily Mails inflammatory style. He may be many things, but judging by his posting, aggression isn't one. Mr B, I think you will have to look elsewhere.

I may be wrong, but I do not think it is to do with SP1814s colour that he gets accused of aggression. SP1814 has argued well and the Right Whingers resort to personal attack (and sometimes abuse) when their case is so weak.

I was trying to explain that there is a difference between being racist and being concerned about immigration. However, the problem we all face now is that racists have adopted your language (compare the NF literature to that of the BNP - they've become more politically savvy).

Gromit In your haste to bend over backwards in support of your old friend sp1814, you are beginning to lose your once fairly reasonable debating skills. And sp1814 keeps getting in a mess that he has to re-post some of his sentences, so you both seem to be getting into rather a pickle.

I do not need you to tell me that these debates are words on a screen. Since sp1814 had obviously began to get rather aggressive as MrBen had rightfully pointed out. I was illustrating the fact that certain ethnic groups seem to have very short fuses, and unlike the typical educated and tolerant English person cannot keep their calm when losing the argument.
