RIP.
I've never really liked classical music, but I do always remember being in a trance watching him sing. Great voice and what seemed like a great person.

oh sorry horsetache maybe I should have broke it to you gently. lol
He was partly responsible (along with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras) for really popularising opera in the early 90s.

Great career. Great man.

Actually, I was surprised he was 71. I thought he was about a decade younger than that (?)
He had a wonderful voice. I love classical music anyway
Just heard the news this morning.
So sad.
I love classical music but dislike opera, however Pavarotti was an exception to me. The only opera singer I actually enjoyed listening to. His passion came accross in his singing and his voice was enchanting.
Not a huge opera fan, but any friend of the late Diana would have been a friend of mine.

I hope Carl Potts from the find a star thing a few months back, sings as well as Pavaroti did.
To hear, in person, Luciano Pavarotti sing the concluding notes of Nessun Dorma from Turandot with such apparent ease is something I could only dream of and still in his later years, held me transfixed on true greatness... and artistry. Thank you Mr. Pavarotti and viaggiare con amore, e buonanotte'...
He will be missed.

R.I.P
His voice was mesmerising, a true master! Never again will there be a man like him!

Rest In Peace Pavarotti.....your voice will continue to enlighten our hearts forever!
It is so sad to hear of Pavarotti's death. He was loved by so many. I have to say, he wasn't my favorite tenor. But then my favorite tenor was my father, so no contest there. Pavarotti will be sadly missed and remembered as one of the greatest singers for a very long time to come. May he rest in peace.
I can sympathise, I lost a tenner once.
I was lucky enough to see him live in one of his Pavarotti and Friends concerts in his home town of Modena. Absolutely fantastic concert and he shall be greatly missed.

RIP
