First thing that came to my mind was they have to find out where abouts the main DNA match was found in the car i.e. the boot. Because then they can ask themselves what the hell they put in the boot in the bl**dy hire car!

Was it some of maddies stuff maybe even a potty or something with some fluid left in it.

It soulds as though they are suggesting the main DNA match is evidence of 'a body' and therefore they mean a dead body with the associated smells, liquids a dead body would produce. Suggesting that what they found could not be from something as a transfer but from a dead Maddie, so to be conclusive proof.

But if this is a damming as they said they would have been allowed home would they?
This is the same hire car that they have been driving around in until yesterday....Nah something doesn't add up there.....why wasn't the car impounded?
its a load of codswollop its only a small amount of DNA that was found in the car......if maddies decomposing body had been put in that car it would have been riddled with DNA as the body would secrete a lot of fluids from every orifice and this contains a lot of blood so therefore a lot of DNA would be present not just a little amount.
guilty,guilty,guilty...when are you all going to wake up and smell the roses?? the dna came from blood!!! if the body was put in a bag then only a small amount of blood would have been in the vehicle, why only her dna in car if nothing happened?? they should now have their twins taken from them as if it had been a couple of chavs off a council estate they would have been taken long ago..sorry if you dont agree with me but ive always said things didnt add up from the beginning...i hope they don,t get to use the fund thats been set up to now pay legal costs as they have no rights to do this......
Innocent till PROVEN guilty isnt it? wel all just have to wait and see, im keeping an open mind on this but in my heart i dont feel they have done anything to madeline .
It gets more bizarre every day. I just wish it could be brought to an end now. Poor little angel.
they have had people taking their photo every time they leave the hose for months - how on earth does anyone think they managed to hide a body for 25 day after the disappearance (thats when they got the hire car) and then sneak it into a car and move it somewhere without anyone noticing?!

Experts in this field..you know the properly trained ones, not the armchair CSI kind...have openly warned about the dangers of misinterpreting DNA evidence! DNA found in the car could simply be there due to transfer!
didn't the police plant the blood in the car
even so theres something fishy about yhe McCanns
You do all know that red blood cells contain no DNA don't you?

How do you know the DNA is from blood - could it be from skin and hair fragments transferred from her parents clothes.

You have to be very careful with this sort of thing
libertie.

Your right in your assumption that experts have warned about the danger of misinterpreting DNA evidence ie simply
there due to a transfer.

It could also be there because maddies body ''was'' transfered in the car.

Lets just wait and see what sort of DNA it is first.
oldgrape, how could the police have "planted" the blood in the car, if that was the case they would have knowledge of the whereabouts of the child. the dna tests are being carried out by independant people
This may surprise you Neil ~ I agree with you!
This is doing my head in now.

Like IggyB says, and no-one has answered...how could they have transferred the body to the car which they hired two days after the child was abducted?

By this time, the media was all over them.

It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Did they somehow manage to slip all the reporters, retreive the body, dump it in the car, drive somewhere, bury her, drive back and...and...

It's just stoopid.

It makes no sense.

It's a fifteen foot red herring wearing a ball gown and smoking a Cuban cigar.

People have made up their minds on this.

So why don't we ditch the police investigation and just have a X-Factor-style phone vote? Press 1 for guilty and 2 for not guilty.
I have just read in a Belgian Newspaper that there is NO certainty concerning the DNA tests. Let us all remember the Press can't be trusted.
Tut....Those phone in things are rigged NJOK

I thing it should be an 'ask the audience' style voting. Could go 50/50 and there's the possibility of phoning a friend.
sp1814 and others of you who state that it was impossible for them to have transferred a body in the hire car.
Can you tell me. The layout of their hired villa and gardens. Where the car was parked. In garage or outside. Was it in sight of said media.
You are so certain of the impossibility that you must be able to answer these questions.

Apparently the DNA was from blood found underneath the carpet in the boot, did they remove the carpet to avoid staining?

If its true it would make perfect sense, I would remove the carpet first!!
