Doesn't surprise me at all, put a bunch of guardianistas in charge of dishing out the dosh and that's what you get. I think it's very important to understand the different cultures.

MrsT - where did you get �100,000 from? It appears that you've overstated by a factor 50. The article puts the grant at �2,000.

However, it doesn't go on to say what connection the farmers have to the UK.

It's all odd, but it would help if people could stop posting exaggerations and...well...fibs.
