To followers of Islam, there is a softening of the rules regarding gambling if it is for entertainment rather than motivated by the desire for easy money (which is ungodly). My observation is that the National Lottery is played by many Muslims.

This story of an un-named cricketer has cropped up before and I have never been able to find any truth in it.

There was a South African charged with Drink Driving. Some Pakistan Cricketers were involved in a bar brawl, but that doesn't mean they had drank alcohol.

I have drank with them in the past and seen them chatting up the girls and having a spliff. At some point Noel offers them ���� and says 'deal or deal', this is when the gambling starts, if she took the first offer, it may of been different for you, not for me though, entering the game in the first place is gambling as far as i can see. If you want to be pedantic there are several meanings for the term 'gamble:

A) Money that is risked for possible monetary gain

B) Take a risk in the hope of a favorable outcome; "When you buy these stocks you are gambling"

C) A risky act or venture

D) Play games for money


In the last context, DOND is gambling. However Muslims use the term to describe A.

I don't think you did put your point across as the post was lacking in paragraphs which made it near on impossible to read.

What content I did manage to decipher was a silly rant. I think the DOND contestant may have been born in the UK, so she is as English as you and me (althoguh I do have some Scots, Irish and Norwegian in me too but that isn't my fault).
