Once again "Johnny Foreigner" snaps his fingers for help, and we come running, regardless of cost to the British tax payer.
Should we in this instance be sending out members of Scotland Yard to investigate a crime committed by foreign nationals in a foreign country?
Money and resources seem to be no problem, when it comes to helping out foreign countries, yet when our own nationals need cash, it is always the same answer "we can't afford it".Giving our Police a decent pay rise is a prime example.

We have become accustomed in our country to having "independent" inquiries / investigations that turn out to be yet another "white wash" with no case to answer / no one to blame. What makes anyone think that this case will be any different?
This whole affair is political. Our own David Milliband has already stated that he is taking the Parkistani authorities line that she was killed by hitting her head on the vehicle's sun-roof, what more is there to say? This clears the Pakistani authorities of any suggestion that they could have had her shot, for their own political reasons.
Still Scotland Yard being sent in will put a veil of respectability over the whole shoddy affair, we will keep the present Pakistani ruling body on our side, and at the same time secure the large Pakistani vote for New Labour in this country.
