Only 50 hospitals deep cleaned to prevent superbug
Last September Gordon Brown pledged last September that every hospital in England would be deep cleaned before the end of March in the war against superbugs. However Health Secretary Alan Johnson said yesterday only 50 have been cleaned so far. It was unclear whether he meant 50 individual hospitals of which there are 1500 in the country, or whether he meant 50 out the 170 hospital trusts. Either way there is still a long way to go. What do you think? Will this help and will it even be done on time?
