Is this another nail in the coffin for British patriotism, or the thin end of the wedge towards conversion to the Euro?

Oh for a strong politician like Margaret Thatcher who stepped in and persuaded British Airways to change back from their ridiculous attempt to make it's plane's more "Ethnic" friendly.

What do ABers suggest the logo should be on the new coin?

Im not overly patriotic and dont care what is on a coin
I think the fifty pence coin and BA should have the swastika on.

Looking at your incredible "unBritishness" AOG, I am sure you will like it
from the article: "Britannia was created by the Romans 2,000 years ago"

Rome - isn't that in Europe?

Thought Daily Mail readers would have been pleased to get rid of a European reference?
why would you want an Italian goddess on your coins?
oh, for a proper British logo, Jade Goody would probably do.

Since your last ridiculous posting, (branding a 107 year old German patriot a Nazi) I think this is rather strange, but then maybe I can understand to a certain extent, having seen your own words describing yourself.

And I quote :

"I am not a bright man"

"those more ignorant than even me".

I do take offence however, to your accusasions of my "unBritishness". I would therefore be obliged if you would provide some proof of my "un- Britishness..
.

"britishness" if such a thing exists is not about flag waving or symbol making - its just a redesign of a coin and nothing more, no nail in a coffin or antibritish sentiment here at all.

You take offence at being called unBritish??

Well dear sir start taking a bit of pride in your country and its wonderful history, and you may feel, or at least begin to feel, a little more British.

A good start will be learning your WW2 history. Until then I will deem you, with whatever silly views you hold, as wholly unBritish and a thorough disgrace to the memory of the thousands of survivors of the real British people who fought for this country.

If I had a choice of getting rid of a Roman God on a fifty pence coin or the TRAITORS that frequent this country like you, Iknow what I would choose.

Have a good day Heir Git, Achutung baby!!!

Bros.
Are you on some form of illegal drug or are you off your head period? Everyone but you, you mad moron, would consider my question anything but anti-British.

You still have not provided any proof whatsoever of my "Un-Britishness" but then this is not so surprising since non exists of course.

I don't want a young upstart such as you advising me to learn WW2 history. I, you very stupid person, did live through this period, more that can be said for yourself.

I also donned a uniform (RAF) for this beloved country of ours. Much more than be said of you, who would not have managed to get into the Brownies. I also have 2 grandsons that have been up to their eyes in muck and bullets, in Iraq and Afghanistan. so don' you dare accuse me of "Un-Britishness"

As regards you calling me a "Traitor" If you wasn't hiding beind the security of a web site, I would take you to court over this accusation. But then I think I would get more satisfaction beating the very hell out of you.

Even though I am an old man, cowards such as you hold no fear for me.

I lived the rise of The Spice Girls, but it doesn't mean I know anything about them. Just like you clearly do not know anything about World War Two.

I refer to your flippant comments re my post below and your apparent acceptance of Lutfwaffe volunteers.

I am afraid AOG, you are a traitor to the cause. like it or lump it.

But on a related question concerning your dementia, what exactly would you take me to court for??????

How very odd, how very odd indeed.

But we do agree on one thing. You are right about me not managing to get in to the Brownies. I strongly believe when I was younger, it was an all girl affair. And for your information I am male.

So hats off to yet another ill-informed statement.

Well done AOG.

Still no proof !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
End of story.
Well if my above second paragraph wasn't proof, then you are right---there is no proof.

Anyway I will maintain that you are as anti-British and as unBritish as an al-Qaeda suicide bomber until you at least understand that volunteers in to the Lufwaffe circa 1939 after years of German depression, a job taken to fight Britain and work directly as a tool of Germanic Nazism led by Hitler himself, is a sure telltale sign that he was infact a nazi sympathizer and in fact the enemy.

Until ignorant traitors like yourself wake up and start actually hating the enemy and fascist movements against Britain, i will maintain my opinion.

If that's OK with you that is?

AOG
i SUGGEST YOU IGNORE. the rantings of Bewlay, If you check back on his previous postings, you"ll discover he is an inconsistent moron, who likes to get up peoples noses!
AOG- any man (or woman actually) that has served this country in the forces deserves every respect from the rest of us. Do not take Bewlays rant to heart. I have the utmost respect for you and your family. Without your sort Europe would be an extended Germany...
also the whole coin thing is bull n really offends me. We are in Britain. Why do we have to change everything to placate the people from outside who choose to live here. A strong sentiment ill admit but basically - Britain love it or ... go away.
geff, Britannia as a representative of the Roman empire symbolises Britain's incorporation in a European super-state. Are you sure you want to keep her?
what about george & the dragon with the george cross as a background, they have not managed to distort those images YET!!!!!

St George was Turkish.
