Incidentally, 123, (not that I expect this to properly filter through), here are some more mitigating factors that will (quite rightly) have reduced the sentence.
- She pleaded guilty.
- She wasn't wielding the knife. He was holding it and pointed it at his chest.
- The judge bore in mind (and I quote) her 'distraught state', which suggests that she wasn't acting rationally or with malice aforethought.
- The judge also remarked that she pushed the knife with 'not a great deal of force'
- And that he was satisifed that she was 'not intending to cause serious injury'.
Shame. It sounds much more sensationalist on Ceefax.
