I have actually emailed the PM to ask him to intervene, but doubt he'll even read the email!!! Idon't normally get het up about all this, but this one has upset me.

I just hope the media keep him as headline news, and embarrass the governemt into intervening and putting his case on the fast track. To think that some bloody jobsworth civil servant made a decision to reject his asylum application, when it has such merit is beyond me. How do these bureacrats sleep in their beds at night? Shameful!

If there is documented proof that Medhi's boyfriend was executed for being gay, then I will happily sign the petition. I wouldn't just sign to support a hard luck story because unfortunately hard luck stories can be false and used as a loophole to keep economic migrants or ne'er do wells in this country.

If it's all accurate, I'm horrified at the situation and believe it's this type of situation that the asylum system is for.
