Arthur C Clark has died

Arthur C Clark has passed on aged 90. I remember fondly the TV shows and many great books. Will his death be overshadowed by a resurgence of the rumours about him and NAMBLA?

I to did not know what NAMBLA was until I googled it:

The original claims about ACC came from a newspaper in Sri Lanka and they fell apart after the editor and reporters involved later admitted under oath that they'd made it all up.
ACC made a recording refuting the claims and explaining how abhorrent he found all forms of child exploitation and the Sunday Mirror took the recording and chopped it about Chris Morris style to completely twist what he'd said to make it seem that he was condoning it all.
ACC responded, "the accusations are such nonsense that I have found it difficult to treat them with the contempt that they deserve." and "I categorically state that The Sunday Mirror's article is grossly defamatory and contains statements which in themselves and by innuendo are quite false, grossly inaccurate and extremely harmful."
