It is obvious that something is very very wrong here if they will not let the mother have any physical contact with her.

The poor child is obviously from a scummy family, who have few morals and even fewer brain cells. Does the mother even know who all the fathers of her children are and what does a woman in her 30's have in common with a 22 year old male.

Social services have in the past made many mistakes regarding child safety, but seems they are doing the right thing now, by not allowing Shannon to return to this carnival of misfits.

As daft as I am I thought the press were over reacting and actually felt sorry for the Matthews. I missed the programme on tv last week but on catching up I can see now why Shannon can't go back to that hovel.
