Last December the Scottish Government announced it would set aside 97m to get rid of prescription charges. It has made the first of its price drops before abolishing charges altogether, a prescription there now costs 5. Currently we pay 6.85. Prescriptions became free in Wales last year. What do you think? Is it about time prescriptions were free for everyone?

Yes, most definitely. There is no reason at all why we in England should have to pay more than Wales or Scotland.
If they were free the drug companies would have a field day. A better solution would be to give a voucher to take to the chemists to exchange for a cheaper alternative. The doctor could decide the maximum limit.
We in England are paying for the Scots. recent price cut, ours have gone up. When are we going to wake up and smell the coffee?
