"A Crappuccino, please"
I used to work in a posh coffee shop and can remember being told about such beans. I thought they were just taking the mick.
Is it suitable for vegetarians???
I would not think so.

Cats (unlike dogs) cannot survive without eating meat, so their "droppings" would probably not pass the Vegetarian Society's strict tests.
What on earth did the first person to do this think they were doing..............!?!

"Shall I use the coffee beans from that bush over there.............or these that that cat has just defecated.........?
hmmm........it's a tricky one"
cant see it taking off in Starbucks or Costa
Don't bank on it Tiger, they'll probably have cats on the counter producing fresh "coffee" and they'll probably experiment with other animals, Dog's, Rabbit's and for that big hit how about some big cats! I said "hit" ok!
Lavazza
To me, all coffee tastes like sh!t
Didn't Stephen Fry give this as a present to Prince Charles when he got married?
Someone who works for Thorntons told me about this at a presentation evening a couple of years ago, and allowed us to taste the crushed, raw beans - before he told us what they were! I should add that he also told us that Thorntons DO NOT use these beans in any of their products. It was just something he thought he might bring to show us.

The animal concerned is not actually a cat, but more closely related to the weasel - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civet .
