Yes.

The UN should send in troops to topple Mugabe, installing a moderate government which can deal with the West and quell insurgent activities.

Then after a couple of months, we should suddenly realise that we have no exit strategy, as fighting amongst the supporters of the MDC and Zanu-PF intensifies.

Lastly, once we realise that we've created another hell hole with no possible military or political solution, we should withdraw to the chorus of 'Bring Our Boys Home'.

Hang on...I'm getting deja vu here.
Yes of course we should send troops in. In every single country of the world we need a ruler who should listen to us. For example now we got a ruler in Iraq who is well trained by us (us means us and USA) and since he is in power it is so peaceful now there isn't it.

But the problem is how can we give priority to Zimbabwe. They are only killing their own people, when we have a ruler in Iran who does not only refuse to listen to us but threatens everyone as well. He has WMDs and the most important point Oil.

So should we have fought Hitler?
If Mugabe's neighbours especially South Africa are unwilling to get involved why should the rest of the world bother. Most of the white farmers were kicked out long ago.

Of course I realise that the situation in Zimbabwe is absolutely obscene (sorry if wrong spelling) and the world should do all it can to alleviate it but mugabe's name if spelt backwards is

E BA GUM
i just dont see why it always has to be the UK and US that get involved. The French dont and neither do the rest of Europe but it's like we dont have enough on our plate and so have to fight everyone else's wars as well.

Its long overdue that our armed forces came back to this country and consolidate what we have. perhaps we could spend the money on additional police officers to patrol our own streets and make this country safer than worry about distant lands and their petty squabbles.
The Africans get the leaders they deserve, so let them get on with it.

Stop pouring more and more money into this mess of a continent.
