I saw Jerry adams on TV speaking about this.
Can someone explain how Jerry Adams of Sinn Fein is involved in the political decisions in Ireland.
Pardon my ignorance but somehow I thought he was involved in Stormont, Ulster. NI an entirely different Country I am told.
Can he vote in Both ?

Gerry Adams is a member of Sinn Fein, a political party on both sides of the Irish border who's aim is the re-unification of north + south Ireland as a seperate republic so yes, speaking as a member of Sinn Fein he can speak about the 'no vote' in Ireland

No, he has a vote in the north. But as president of the Sinn Fein party he presides over a party with candidates on both sides, as 4GS says.

His party were the only political party to advocate a no vote btw - along with some extreme right-wing groups. And as usual, he has no idea what to do next.
